THE MUBS ECONOMIC FORUM

As a Business School, the understanding of the economy is a key component for teaching business especially the perception of opportunities and evolvement of strategies to achieve organizational goals. The economy is very dynamic and business students need to understand the breadth and depth of the economy to be able to appreciate decision making. There has not been much academic debate on the economy of Uganda, let alone developments in the East African Region. Much of the literature on the economy comes from the policy makers and policies appear to be inspired from other economies and the Multilateral institutions like IMF or World Bank where research in the economies of different countries is undertaken. MUBS feels that it should be able to make a contribution to the debate and also to research into economic issues. The Research will be able to provide a good understanding of the economy, its structure and development.
